From May 24 to 26, the Innovation Track of the 11th International BIM Graduation Design Innovation Competition for Higher Education Institutions was held, organized by the China Civil Engineering Society (CCES) and Glodon Company Limited. A team from the BUCEA School of Urban Economics and Management participated in the event.
In this competition, BUCEA won one second prize and two third prizes at the national level, along with three Excellent Instructor Awards. The university was also honored with the Best Organization Award.
Showcasing the award-winning teams:
Second Prize Team
Project Highlight: the team developed an innovative noise monitoring system with a dynamic threshold. By integrating OCR technology, the project enables closed-loop management of construction site noise data.
Third Prize Team 1
Project Highlight: the team established a comprehensive multi-level fire alarm mechanism, enhancing emergency response efficiency through intelligent processing within a virtual system.
Third Prize Team 2
Project Highlight: the team integrated weighing sensors to build a smart tower crane system, achieving real-time visualization of material information.
During the competition, BUCEA students stood out for their solid professional foundation and outstanding innovation capabilities, particularly in areas such as smart construction platform development and intelligent algorithm model training. Their performance demonstrated the effectiveness of BUCEA’s reformed “AI+” talent cultivation model. Through initiatives such as the establishment of the BIM Innovation Laboratory and the development of mentor teams, students have significantly improved their ability to solve complex engineering problems.
