At the 2025 Annual Academic Conference of the China Civil Engineering Society, three science outreach expert studios and fifteen science education bases were officially recognized as CCES Science Outreach Expert Studios and Science Education Bases.

Jointly established by BUCEA Engineering Practice Innovation Center and the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering, BUCEA Science Education Base for Intelligent Construction and Disaster Prevention & Mitigation works closely with the CCES Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Committee. The base has organized a wide range of public science activities in areas such as civil engineering disaster prevention, intelligent construction, and 3D-printed concrete materials. In recent years, it has welcomed more than 5,000 visitors annually and developed several signature programs, including “National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day” outreach, “Digital Restoration of Ancient Architecture”, and “Rural Disaster Prevention Awareness Tours.” Through national media platforms such as China Central Television’s “Experimental Scene”, the base continues to promote engineering and technological literacy among the public.
