Rector Lenar Safin welcomed the guest on 13 March.
He was joined by Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Welfare of Tatarstan Elmira Zaripova, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education Ilnur Khairullin, and others.
The Rector mentioned that KFU hosts over 2,000 Uzbekistani students, and cooperation with the Central Asian republic is a priority for the University. He added that many labor migrants from the country pass Russian language, history and law exams at KFU as well. In particular, there were 4,500 such test takers in 2024, and already 3,500 in the first two months of 2025. The University plans to open a test center in its Jizzakh Branch in Uzbekistan as well. Notably, KFU is the only institution in Tatarstan authorized to organize such tests.
Mr Musaev thanked the University for the academic opportunities it provides. He also informed that the Migration Agency currently provides Russian language classes for Uzbekistani nationals and asked if KFU experts could evaluate the teaching modules.
Both sides agreed that their cooperation is an investment in the future and a contribution to the friendship between Russia and Uzbekistan.
